Decendir,  lived in the Glittering Caves of Aglarond the greater portion of his life.  He moved their, from the Iron Hills, after it was established as a Dwarven settlement.

Decendir was a rather important blacksmith in his day, and crafted great numbers of weapons and armor.  Few hardships did Decendir have to endure in his life.  He was a peaceful Dwarf, and one of good nature.  For years the Dwarven settlements in which he lived in remained safe from outside disturbances.

At the age of 120 Decendir had a son, which he named Deren.  Like his father Deren became a smith, and learned from an early age the secrets of metal work.  Also like his father, Deren lived a peaceful life, and he desired little, but to remain skilled at his work.

By the age of 94, Deren was considered by most Dwarves of Aglarond to be among the most skilled in Smithing that they had ever known.  His work surpassed that of his father, who had died when Deren was 81.

Deren, at the age of 127, had a child, who was named Berendir.

Berendir grew up in the Glittering Caves of Aglarond with his father Deren.  he learned at a young age to smith, as was the family tradition.  Deren and his son also shared a deep interest in lore.  The history of Middle Earth was fascinating to them.

However Berendir was also different then his father in some ways.  He was more adventurous, and had desire for adventure, and possibly even to hunt Orcs in the hills on occasion.  Deren, in his whole life never had interest for venturing into unfriendly lands, or even far from home.

Berendir had some friends of like mind when it came to adventure, and exploring.  There was one fellow who would tell stories of Khazad-dum, from ancient times.  Stories of its wealth, of its fame, of power, and of the truesilver that was hidden in its depths.

These stories were but a myth it seemed to Berendir.  He had known of Khazad-dum, yet the hopes of one day seeing it from the inside, seemed an impossible dream.  However the thoughts of one day exploring the silver deeps within grew within his mind.  Though when he mentioned these thoughts to his father, Deren was upset.  He knew of the tragedy of Moria, and it pained him to think of what the Dwarves lost.

Many years into the fourth age of Middle Earth, there began a movement to retake Khazad-dum.   Many Dwarves came together, all of which shared the desire to retake Khazad-dum.

There were at first two guilds with this goal.  The Fellowship of Mahal's fire, and the Sons of Moria.  Both of these guilds formed the House of the Silver Deeps.  Berendir now works with this house, as they plan for the retaking of Khazad-dum, and the strcture and community, of the House of the Silver Deeps.

In the beginning stages of this plan to retake Khazad-dum, Berendir has concerned himself in helping to form the structure of the factions, and government in the House of the Silver Deeps.  However nothing further can be told of this tale, for it has not yet ended.
